OS 10 version?

Hey, Dave

Do you have any plans for creating a HanDBase version for the upcoming BlackBerry OS 10? If I upgrade from my current 9650, even if there's no BB OS 10 version, -and assuming Android apps can be installed & run on it- I'll be installing HanDBase on it - not to replace the iOS version I now use, but to augment it, and to serve as a great backup for my business db.

Thanks for writing. At present we don't have any plans to support HanDBase for Blackberry OS 10. Of course, we will keep an eye on the market to see if somehow the operating system somehow turns things around for RIM, but assuming their course remains the same their market share will continue to diminish. Sorry I can't provide different news.

Okay, we're now several months into the public release of BB10 OS and the Z10 has been selling well. The Q10 will be along in the US shortly and is out globally.

If nothing else, I wish you would send someone to the upcoming BlackBerry developers conference, just to understand how BlackBerry's new OS represents a real paradigm change for mobile computing.

I'm just a user but can report that my experience with a Z10 has been extremely satisfactory. The lack of an application like HanDbase is a real opportunity for your product (not to mention that it would allow me to rid myself of an iOs device I keep solely to run HanDbase).

Thanks for your vote for a BB10 version. On another topic on this forum I discussed that I was looking into supporting BB10 by communicating with our contacts there but they actually only responded to an email I sent late last year last week! They said they were forwarding my info to someone who would get back to me and so I'm waiting to hear.

I'd like to support BB10 in the future, but the demand for it has been quite low from existing customers. When a platform has demand for HanDBase we generally hear about it from at least a few dozen users, and in this case it's been about 3 or 4 total, so I don't think we're there yet!

Will keep looking out and trying to communicate our needs to the BB folks as well. Unfortunately don't even have enough revenue to justify a dev conference for the platforms we do support so it's highly unlikely we'd go to a possible prospect. Wish times were better than they have been sales wise and we could spend resources on new business like this but it's just not the case!
