I'm NOT going crazy. One of my DBs is a Freezer/Pantry Inventory to keep track of the groceries/meats/etc that I have in the house.
As a rule, I only ADD new records via the Desktop and usually do the editing of a record via my Touch.
For the last few months what I have recorded on my Touch and the Desktop has not been what's in the freezer or pantry. There always seems to be something 'missing'. I was already blaming 'Gremlins' entering the house at night and raiding the larder. Last month, hubby and I emptied the freezer and pantry shelves and I wrote down exactly what we have and where to find it. Since then, every time I make an edit on my Touch, I email that record to myself as a 'txt'. I have also been keeping track via an excel spreadsheet.
Last week I made a meal using up the frozen bag of Broccoli in the freezer. I then went out and purchased a new bag. I have the email of the edited HB record where the finished bag of broccoli is 0 (as opposed to .5 for being open or 1 for not yet opened). I also email the Data Bases to myself and backup the Desktop DBs just prior to doing a sync.
Lo and behold, today I noticed that that FINISHED bag of broccoli is again in my DB, both on the Touch and the Desktop as .5
I checked the DB that I mailed to myself (from the Touch) and that item was 0. On the desktop it was .5.
The sync settings for my DBs are: 'Use Default settings for this Database'. Under Sync Settings, nothing is checked off.
Shouldn't the record that was edited, the Touch record, have overwritten the Desktop record that was not edited? I have not synced since that sync (on the 19th).
Am I doing something wrong or what? At least I know I'm not going crazy and Gremlins aren't invading!
Thanks for any and all help
Barb
