Change Field Type

I have over 4k entries and have a field called date but it's TXT.... Is there a way to get it into a DATE field?

Hi,

There is a conversion from text to date but the format has to match exactly how it would look when it's converted. In other words, if your date format is set to MM/DD/YYYY and you have a date that says May 6th, 2017 it won't convert properly, it would have to read 05/06/2017. If you're using the windows desktop double check the conversion works before saving the file- it is possible this conversion code is only on the more up-to-date mobile devices only- my memory is fuzzy on the windows version!
