Is the Runtime Tool still available and supported under
the current versions or the WinTel Desktop version?

If so, what is the cost ?

The runtime builder is still available for Windows desktop based OS, Windows Mobile (not Windows Phone 7) and Palm OS. The runtime builder is not available for iOS, Android or any other platforms we support.

Pricing and additional details are available here:

are there any plans to have runtime available for iOS?
how would one bring their app to markets (itunes)?

Unfortunately we have no plans to develop a runtime builder for iOS, as Apple's policies regarding runtimes in general is a bit vague. The last thing we would want is for someone to spend a great deal of money on a runtime builder that cannot even be used!

Perhaps in the future a clarification of policy by Apple will pave the way....

My apologies for not chiming in earlier! If you are wanting to bring something to market on iOS, it can be done via a custom version of HanDBase. This is something I've done for developers in the past. It's nowhere as affordable as the runtime packages we used to have as they were self serve and this involves custom programming and submission of the app to the App Store on your behalf, but it can definitely be done and has been done before. If you're interested, please email me at my address below..
