forms are not transferred from palm to android

Not sure if this is android based or desktop application based, so please move it if you want.

I'm in the process of transferring my databases from palm to android. In palm i only see pdb file's even if i am using form's. When i copy all the pdb files over to android i do get the database on the android device but not the forms. what am i missing?

Thanks for writing.

HanDBase form files will include _HDF in the filename. For example, if you have a database who's filename is "cars.pdb", the form associated with the database will be "cars_HDF.pdb". Make sure you copy these files to your Android AND be sure to place these files in the "Forms" subfolder.

Strange on the palm I do have forms but I don't see any hdf files? Btw it is handbase3

The "hdf" will be embedded into the filename you see when viewing with a file manager application, such as Filez or Resco Explorer on your Palm. An example of what you would see is "mygreatdatabase_HDF.pdb" in the list of files available on your phone.

Ah, so they don't get synced to the computer. Will search with filez

They should be included in the general Hot Sync backup on your computer as well.

Very odd. When you view the databases on your Palm, the form displays properly, correct?

Did you not find any files on the Palm when using a file manager that had _HDF in their filename?

Just did a search and I did find the hdf files. Will copy them to sd card and then over to the computer but need some time to do so. Strange that these files do not come over with palm sync. Keep you updated.

Oh, and yes on Palm the forms are correct.
