Filter not working right

I have a simple file i created from scratch of CDs I have.
One of my VIEWS is in order of the music group, but I have elected to have a FILTER set to
- Update View Settings Also
- Genre does not contain Classical
- OR
- Genre does not contain Christmas

These filters when ENABLED, do not work and I see them in the result of the filtered list

If I change the above to
- Genre does contain Classical
- OR
- Genre does contain Christmas
Then the FILTER does work and I see only those CDs with Genre containing Classical or Christmas.

So, why might a filter work one way and not another way.

Try switching the OR to AND in the does not contain filter.
