migrating from palm handbase v3.51 to android v4.6.316

Yes finally plan to migrate with live database from palm to android.
What would be the best way to migratie from palm to android, what would be the cavid's in the process? Especially since the palm version is not the latest
Is it possible to take the forms for the database over to the android version or do i need to redesign all form's?

Hi Edwin,

Others may have their own opinion, but I migrated some very old Palm databases to my Android. I found the advanced features of the Android HanDBase to be sufficiently more and different from the Palm version that I felt it was better to start from scratch. This gave me the opportunity to review the ways that I had implemented the Palm databases and redesign both the database structures and Forms to better fit the way I found I wished to use them after having had them that "old" way for some time. It also gave me the opportunity to "clean up" a lot of the data as I re-entered it in the new databases or discarded what was no longer of interest. Just my experience.

Could you explain which advanced features made you to redesign the entire database?

Sorry, it was a while ago, so don't remember specifics. But I do remember the databases benefited from the redesign.
