ISO Standard Date Format Mac desktop HanDBase

Postby eheffa » Wed Dec 06, 2017 6:21 pm

Hi,

Is there any chance that Date field formats could include the ISO standard format of YYYY-mm-dd ? It is after all the most logical and unambiguous numeric date format in use. Both Europeans, Canadians & Americans can see the date & know exactly what date is recorded. (e.g. 04-12-09 could be a number of possible dates whereas 2009-12-04 is crystal clear.)

Not having this drives my billing secretary & me nuts.

Your consideration much appreciated.

Search the discussion group (upper right hand corner for "date format" and you will find many discussions on this topic. I don't remember what the last reply was, but there are people out there that want every variation of the date format possible including myslelf.

Check out the discussions...

Ha1 I searched for Format Date & retrieved little useful info.

Interesting how the order makes of words and numbers is significant and not necessarily intuitive between individuals; thus it makes sense to use an unequivocal dating format - ISO. ;-)

Thanks.

I second the motion for ISO Standard date formats. I'll even pay extra.
