The system has 29 inter-connected HaDBase tables to keep track of the things that matter in your life. "My Life" tracks albums, books movies, plays, DVDs, frequent flyer points, your daily journal, the things you have in your wallet or handbag, insurance policies, bank accounts, authors, your family tree, software on your computer, favorite quotes, bright ideas you have, your shopping list, take-out food orders, your personal stuff, -- just about everything. The program is tighly integrated so as to keep the entry to a minimum. And it can be easily expanded for anything extra that comes along. I have used this myself for about 18 months and it has become essential everyday. Have fun ;-)

Aquarium Keeper contains six databases, all but one (test kits & medications) are linked in some manner. Together, these databases allow you to: catalog your fish and plants, describe each of your aquariums in detail (including your hard goods), what fish and plants reside in a particular aquarium, illnesses you have treated (including which fish had the illness), detailed water test and aquarium maintenance results and a database containing pertinent information regarding the test kits and medications you use or keep on hand.

Comments:
I designed this database because I could find no others like it out there. I did find desktop versions of databases for aquarium keepers, but how easy is it to drag your computer over to your aquariums? One of the main deciding factors for obtaining a PDA (I have an iPaq 3670) was that I could take it with me anywhere... in particular, to my aquariums where I record water test results, illness treatments etc.. Until now, I have kept a hardcopy booklet containing this information, but its organization leaved something to be desired (I am usually an extremely organized individual).

The TO-FROM LOCATION entry (in case you are keeping track of those miles)is now an editable pop-up so you won't have to type so much for up to 60 different frequently traveled destinations(just delete the ones I have and put yours in)
Essentially, this allows for entry of the date, a dollar amount, type of payment (cash, credit, etc) and check boxes for the type of expense. A sales income check box is here too (you may wish to enter income as a "minus" amount, or opposite from expenses).
You may also keep miles driven and to-from locations as well as a note field for recording the purpose expense, or whatever you like. This can help at the end of the year to summarize business costs.
Check boxes with abbreviated label include:

HARDWARE/CHEMICALS (Could incl. cleaners ect)

CrashInfo was written using HanDBase version 3 and its accompanying forms program, version v3.0i. It is an extension of the applet written by Master David Haupert of DDH Software. It provides a method to record crash related information. This release includes forms for main and child databases. The "linked", "relationship," and "database popup" (DB popup) field types are used throughout the application. There are four databases. The number of related records is displayed next to the "related" field type. Links are provided to the child databases for editing of those databases. As a note, deleting files must be done from the parent record in order to maintain proper indexing.
CrashInfo is the primary database. Information captured: date and time of occurance, case number, officer name/id, agency name, and location of crash. Name information is provided initially via the "relational" function or the "linked" function with the CashNames database. After taking care of the name business, charge information and notes may be entered, followed by witness information, accessible via the relational function or linked function with the CrashWitness database. After witness information, entry fields for road condition, road description, weather condition information are provided. The number of records in each of the "child" databases is displayed next to the related field. The ability to edit the "child databases" is accomplished using the "linked" field type. The database file is "CrashInfo.PDB" and the forms file is "CrashInfo_HDF.PDB." To uninstall the forms file, delete the "CrashInfo_HDF.PDB" file.
CrashNames is related with the parent database using the "case #" field. It provides fields to capture driver name, driver vehicle number, driver date of birth, driver race/sex, city/state, zip code, injury description, insurance company, policy number, expiration date, agent, passenger information (using relation/linked properties), vehicle year, make, model (all in one field), tag number and state (in one field), vehicle damage, damage amount, at fault, cited, charge, phone numbers, work location and phone numbers. The database file is "CrashNames.PDB" and the forms file is "CrashNames_HDF.PDB." To uninstall the forms file, delete the "CrashNames_HDF.PDB" file.
CrashPassenger is a child database of CrashNames. It is related via the case # field. It provides fields to capture passenger vehicle #, passenger name, race/sex/age (in one field), address, home px, work px, where seated, injury information, and notes. The database file is "CrashPassenger.PDB" and the forms file is "CrashPassenger_HDF.PDB." To uninstall the forms file, delete the "CrashPassenger_HDF.PDB" file.

This is a very good record keeping of all your Insurance clients’ policy details in your pocket. Anytime, anywhere when you want to know which client is due for renewal or whether he had an insurance cliams before, this comes handy for you to retrieve their portfolios. This is an insurance policyholder tracking portfolio database using a single database type information to link to several other databases. In other words, it is a One-to-many database. A better example is the relationship between a Customer database and a Motor Vehicle database i.e. one customer can have more than one car and by just a click to the linked database you know which car is due for renewal.
They are seven linked portfolio databases namely: -
a) Motor Vehicle.pdb
b) Commercial Fire.pdb
c) Burglar.pdb
d) Personal Accident.pdb
e) Houseowner.pdb
f) Senior Citizens.pdb
g) Hospital & Surgical (this is very good for Direct Sales distributor tracking his downline portfolio)
All the above databases are linked to the main database named CUSTOMER.pdb. You can also add in more portfolio databases, be sure to link into the CUSTOMER.pdb file.

Over here, we have three fields, which are:
1) Name: You can add new client in this field by using the Phone Lookup command or enter manually.
2) Policy Type: This is a Popup List, which tells you what type of insurance your client has.
3) Celebrity: This is a Popup List which tells you what festive season he celebrate so that you can easily filter out the season greetings and send out the greeting cards accordingly.
4) Choose the relevant database by clicking to it, which you want to enter your client’s details.
The rest of the Databases are for you to keep track of their policy details. The beauty of the Burglar database is that you do not have to calculate the premium manually and the total of the coverage. The program computes the premium by itself you just have to enter the premium rate and the government tax rate together with the stamp duty.

Sorting:
By opening the linked database eg. Motor Vehicle file, you can sort the policy expiry date so that you are well informed before it is due for renewal.

Comments:
This is more novel or perhaps instructional than it is useful! After browsing the FAQ, I noticed a question regarding calculating the number of days since a certain date. Dates prior to 1904 are not natively supported, but by taking advantage of some of the other programming tricks noted elsewhere in the FAQ (and by use of 29 of the 30 available fields!) I found it possible to find the difference in days between any 2 dates. Data entry is straightforward, you should enter an old date before the new one and the applet will calculate the number of days between the two. The "Gregorian" checkbox should be checked for any modern date for strict accuracy of the Julian day; it can be ignored if you simply wish to calculate the number of days between any two dates after 1582! You can unhide the fields if you want to see how this works. E-mail if you have further questions.

It is similar to another that adds time of day and time between events on same day, but that was way to complicated for what I wanted so I simplified it.

Comments:
AKC alone receives over Two Million entries a year in the various competitions across the US. Many owners compete with multiple dogs and many with more then one breed. Now you can leave all those binders at home and have all the information you need in the Palm of your hand! Of course you have all this info in your file cabinet, now you can easily take it on the road for that unexpected visit to the vet, to shows, competitions and even your National Specialty! Since we believe you must first have a healthy dog to be able to be competitive the first database is *Vet Info* it keeps track of shots, medical procedures, vet visits, dates in season, important genetic screening results and registry numbers. Links to K-9 Titles which first links to Current K-9 Training so you'll know what you need to work on next. Your Competition Record link can be used for ANY dog sport, shows, coursing, tracking, agility, flyball, ANYTHING, just add your sport in the popups!! Now you'll have the information about which judge put you up and which one dumped you right there at the show BEFORE you put your entries in for that next show! Even links to Stud and Whelping records so you can review important information while considering possible sires. ** If you find anything that does not work or would work better changed, let me know & I'll change it! ****NOTE**** that the "Vet Record" in this database is considered the "parent" file in this database. ALL the other records are considered "child" databases. This means you MUST first create a "vet record" for your dog and THEN while in that record click on a link for whatever else you want to add, click new and then add your information. This way all information will be linked back to the "parent" vet record for THAT dog. If you create your information directly in the other databases instead of going thru the "vet record" they will NOT be linked! If you love it, make my day and send me a $3.00 donation ;)

Canine Rescue volunteers have their hands full! There is alot to keep track of and you are often at the vet directly from picking up a new rescue. Wouldn't it be helpful to keep track of all that info in your PDA? Millions and millions of dogs (and cats) are euthanized every year and many more would be without all the rescue volunteers! I hope this will make your efforts just a little easier. If you love the program and you can afford it, I'd appreciate a $3.00 donation - send to Melody Scalley P.O. Box 1005, Eastville, VA 23347-1005 otherwise consider it my donation towards your rescue efforts!

Sample entries are included. Of course you'll have to check all your DB's on the website yourself, and manually enter the number of downloads. Download tracker will note the date of change, will store the value for each individual record, and will give you a running total of all records. (Because of the way HanDBase works, you will need to go to the last record (in sorted order) to get a correct total. You may also need to have the total re-calculated. If that is the case, a little calculator symbol will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click it, and voila! Your total. See HanDBase manual for details.)

EmegencySupplyKit was written using HanDBase version 3. It provides a simple method to record what is in an emergency supply kit. The "linked", "relationship," and "database popup" (DB popup) field types are used throughout the application. There are three databases. Its design allows the user to track several different kits. The contents of the kit may vary to an extent upon locality. However, rain is rain regardless of where you live, so keeping warm is always a necessity. The entries I have included in the EmerSupplyList database are not all inclusive of what should be in a kit. Be creative and be prepared. I am from an area that was prone to hurricanes passing by and we were always prepared for the "big one," which we fortuantely missed when Hurricane Andrew struck south Florida back in the 90s.

EmergencySupplyKit is the primary database. It provides a place to record the owner's name, kit description, and notes. The "relationship" field type is used to "view owner items" and "# items in bag." The "linked" field type is used to link to the item list so that database may be edited. Tapping on "View OWNER Items" is the first step toward adding the inventory to the database.
The EmerKitItems database is where the work is really done. It captures the item description using the "database popup" field type and links to the item list using the "linked" field type. Item description, purchaes date, expiration, number stocked, supplier information, and similar information is maintained here.
The EmerSupplyList database is used to maintain a single item list of supplies to be tracked by the EmerKitItems database. Entires may be included that are not actually part of the kit. Specifically, reminders such as cleaning the tub or the washing machine to have a clean place to store water. Toys and/or books for the kids. Toys and food for your pets if they come with you.
Within the EmergencySupplyKit database, the "filter" option may be used to provide a list of items needing to be replinished, a list of items needed, and related information.
Setting up the internal linking (pathing) for the "linked," "relationship," and "database popup" fields may be necessary in order for the databases to interact.

I found that I had a couple of field types that I consistently used on HanDBase forms and I got tired of recreating the same things over an over, so I recorded their data. I thought about this and setup a database where I could record any/all of the possible form fields. There is a main form that tabs to the forms for the various field types. Included are settings for several buttons; goto first record, goto previous record, goto next record, goto last record and return from form. Note that the fields used to record several of the settings are used for more that one thing so if you look at, say, the Shape form for a button record, the Left field datum will show in the Start X field.
This is a set of databases used to record bin weights by crew, block and variety for a wine grape vineyard hand harvest operation. The Crew #, Tractor Driver and respective Bin Tares are entered into the "Harvest Crews" database. The "Ranch1" database is used to record the Block Number (field number), Acres, Variety, Vine Count and other useful vineyard information. The "Harvest Weights' database allows the user to select the Tractor Driver through a database popup. This also imports the Crew # and Bin Tares pertaining to that crew. The user also selects the Block # through a database popup which also imports the Variety and Acres respective to that block. The Bin Weights are recorded respective to the Tare Weights (Bin#1=Tare#1). If there is no Bin Weight entered the database ignores the Tare Weight for that bin. The database also calculates a running total of the net weights as they are entered. This can be helpful in determining how to load a delivery truck.

Homework was written using HanDBase version 3. It is a "relational" applet that tracks homework and project assignments, contacts, and to do. The "linked", "relationship," and "database popup" (DB popup) field types are used throughout the application. There are nine databases. In most instances, the number of related records is displayed next to the "related" field type. Links are provided to the child databases for editing of those databases. As a note, deleting files must be done from the parent record in order to maintain proper indexing.

The primary database is "HomeWork." The following information is captured, date, classes (a db-popup field type to either import a value or create a new value). Yarn Inventory database (actual file named Knitting_Yarns.PDB) includes company, yarn name, gauge, yardage, fiber, weight, yarn type, and a notes field. This database is linked to the Knitting My Yarns (Knitting_My_Yarns.PDB) which should also be downloaded. When looking at a Yarn record, MyYarns button is the link to that second database. I also just added a Knitting_Projects.PDB database that is also related to this database.

MINDFULNESS...
It's the buzzword of the pandemic. As people have been staying inside more and more, the gurus of popular thought have become more aware of this concept. My organization introduced a contest to get us off our lazy butts and more into exercise, self improvement, and reaching out.
As such, I built this app to track my activities and in doing so came across some interesting concepts. You can maybe use these concepts in your own apps or simply use the app for any type of self-improvement you're into these days.
By the way, I see lots of folks complaining on the boards about how you can find an app on the appstore so who needs to build one. I beg to differ. I created this in just a few days, tailored it to my needs and it'll be far handier than most apps you'd download from the app store for a similar purpose. And it won't nag you to pay money so you can get a video from some self help guru. On that topic, maybe I could.....

Primary filters are on the main db - Mindfulness. These include :
Today (No Pts). - Shows records for the current day that have no updates added to them. As you add points, the records disappear. So example of how to build a daily checklist.
Open This Week - Activities in the app have a maximum point score per week, though you may add a task on multiple days. Good example of how to do calculations and then use this info to filter items you really don't need to update any longer.
This Week (All) / Last Week - Includes a filter to show all activities for the current week and last week.
Import View - Filters on Entry date=No Date. This app is a good example of how to use a library of existing records (they're in the Mindful Acts db) and then copy them into another app (Mindfulness) for a new round of data entry. To support this, the structures must be the same but you'll note the details of the fields and forms for each db are very different.
Sorting:
Sort based on current week. There's some good date formulas in this app that are used for sorting. These include:
- Calculating the Start (Sunday) and End (Saturday) of each week, merging them together for sorting.
- Calculating the current date as day of the week and then cross-referencing this across another field to see if the user has updated that field.
Comments:
You will also find in this database a cheat I've come up with for Handbase's lack of a help system - Forms!
Though I've also built a separate Help db for more complicated apps, I like the fact that you can use text labels and HanDBase's built-in navigation features in forms to create a self contained help system directly in the app you've built. This is is a good example of how to do this. Just click on the "?" icon from the main Mindfulness form in the Mindfulness.db.

It is my intention to update this file just before the beginning of each year.
Moon Void of Course is part of astrology. It describes the period of time starting when the moon makes its last major aspect, and ends when the moon enters into the next astrological sign. According to astrology, while the moon is void of course, it is considered a poor time to initiate activities, plans, agreements, etc. More information about this can be found in the readme.

Let's be frank. If you are a professional photojournalist, you don't need to know too much. (lens, film stock, fstop, etc.) This is for nuts and bolts information. Get the important info in quickly; get it out quickly. . A lot of my colleagues who are just now buying palm OS machines have been asking about this database. I've used it every day for years, on assignments here and abroad. I've made it as simple as it can be, while still allowing for potent searching, etc. You may wish to split the subject field into first and last names, or add a category field, as fits your needs. Keep that notepad in the car for a backup, and make your note-taking work better. And now, with the HDB desktop's ability to synchronize back the the palm, it's a breeze to update and correct your notes while you're sitting at your desk.

The number of related records is displayed next to the "related" field type. Links are provided to the child databases for editing of those databases. As a note, deleting files must be done from the parent record in order to maintain proper indexing.
PlantStuff is the primary database. It provides a place to list plant names as well as a beginning point for notes, things to do, supplies and contacts. The main "relationship" used in this and the databases is "plant #." In the PlantToDo child database, the date is used. In the Contacts child database, the contact's name is used.
PlantAwards is used to track the awards your plant receives. It is a child database of the PlanInfo database. and is related via "plant #." Fields provided are plant #, plant description, and award description.
PlantContacts is used to maintain contact data. Fields are provided to capture name, address, phone number(s), notes and next contact date.

It provides information concerning a specific plant, purchase, inventory, condition, followup date, followup action, awards received, and note information. Links are also provided to edit plant names, awards and plant notes.
PlantList is a child database that is used to capture only the list of plants. A field for notes has been added.
PlantNeedSup is a child database used to capture supplies on hand. Captured information includes the item, number/amount in stock, need to obtain, supplier, cost, running cost, time/date obtained and a note field.
PlantNotes is a child database used to capture notes for most of the other child databases.
PlantStuff - it's the main database.
PlantSUPPLIES is a child database that captures only a list of supplies.

My goal in revising this database is to get the maximum amount of vital data into both the database and on one screen in the desktop, thus reducing the amount of scrolling done on both desk and handheld platforms. Less scrolling means less work, and a more pleasant environment for both working and reading. (A desirable goodie would be to allow changable layout on the destop screen instead of simply top to bottom. DDH design kuve, read this!) Cogent comments are welcome to the above address, as always.

Each item is logged under (in order): country, Scott prefix, number, suffix, open description; check boxes for mint never hinged, mint hinged, used unhinged, used hinged, gum-no gum, mounted-hinged; last fields for catalogue value (I use Scott, of course), and location (if you have more than one album). Country field has drop-down values; my own are left in, but can be edited as needed. (However, more than about 20 countries, and you hit the law of diminishing returns; beyond 20, just write in the country names.) The prefixes (for semi-postals, airmail and so on) and suffixes (for varieties of each issue) are included to allow proper sorting of the database by catalogue number; if the prefixes and suffixes were included in the catalogue number, the numbers are sorted as strings instead of numeric values. Comments and revisions are welcome for consideration!
This is a add-on database for Gift Planner.
Basically it allows you to check previous gifts when using Gift Planner.
You will see the corresponding name, the occasion, what you bought, the price and a note.
The best way to add new record is to use the DBpopup in the name field and choose the gift(s) you bought (this would ideally occur after you've bought your gifts, so you would choose the records in the bought view of the Gift Planner view).

There are 17 conntected databases in this applet. The key entry point is the Client (can also be considered a project). There are two parts to the applet. One part is the project information which includes meeting minutes, issue tracking, change control management. Full project info at your finger tips.
The second part is travel information which includes hotel, itenerary, expenses, rentals, etc.
I use this extensively on the road, but it can be used for inhouse projects as well.
The Project Managment Pack (PMP) is a series of 9 HanDBase (v2.1) databases that can be used separately or together to manage consulting, sales, or project management services. The PMP is an extremely versatile supplement to HanDBase and can be used by numerous types of business professionals such as sales people, project managers, traveling consultants, and individuals who supervise and manage large work teams. Each database is configured to be able to read the most important information in the list view using the To-Do and Address Book buttons to scroll.
The PMP allows the business professional to: 1) record general information about the client's or projects with which they work, 2) track client and co-worker contact information (phone, fax, etc.), 3) record visits to client sites or in-house meetings, 4) log billable hours and related information, 5) track deliverables to be provided to or received from the client or other co-workers, 6) track tasks to be completed for each project (including to whom the tasks are assigned, and 7) log communication contacts (phone calls, faxes, e-mails, etc). The PMP is a powerful management tool for the traveling businessperson because it taps into existing records of other databases to complete entries, which makes data entry quick, easy, and complete. This allows the user to associate tasks with specific individuals and companies, and associate certain deliverables with their respective companies. Each database has been designed to work as a standalone database or in conjunction with one or more of the other PMP databases. For those who work in a primarily in-house setting, the pack can be easily modified to serve intra-company work teams and projects. The PMP can be used by consultants, salespeople, project managers, supervisors, team-leaders, work group members, or anyone who manages multiple projects in an in-house or mobile environment. The PMP can be set up to work with a single client, multiple clients, one or more projects, or it can be used to track multiple in-house projects. A description of each database, its function, the field structure, and suggested uses are included in accompanying document. Sample data is include as examples.

You can use the filter feature to display current tasks (versus completed tasks, events not yet billed, deliverables not yet completed, and an array of other filters. Special fields have been added to make filtering easy.
Sorting:
Sorting can be done by client/company name or by project in every database. This allows you to view due dates for each project task and deliverable in list view quickly and easily. There are other options for sorting which make the databasesd very useful. For instance you can sort unfinished tasks by company or individual assigned to the task.
Reports:
You can create quick reports that display totals for billable hours and also export a log of activies that have been billed. An easy and excellent way to send reports to clients. You can also filter and sort records to report on complete and incomplete deliverables and tasks.
Comments:
These nine database work together to offer a full project managemnt compliment. A complete release document is included that reivews all databbases, field names and types, and also describes how to modify the exisiting databases' field and field type information for individuals who provide project managements services in an in-house setting. Accompanying document is in MS Word and .txt format. Note, these databases were created with HanDBase 2.1, which is required for them to run properly.
The file is a self-extracting zip file that will unzip the databases into a folder on the C: drive called PMP.
This is my first database-to-share. It lists knitting projects that I want to do someday. It has fields for item, description, yarn type, amount, fiber, measurements, gauge, where the pattern is, difficulty level, etc. I used to have all this in a small notebook, along with a photo, but it got too bulky and heavy to handle.

Congratulations! You are now the secretary of your organization and expected to take minutes at every meeting! I have frequently been in this position and have an incredibly difficult time deciphering my notes the next day. This HanDbase applet should keep you organized. I use this with a portable keyboard at my meetings. A sample meeting is included from those lovable guys of Delta House.
Example of using a running total in one database, and then seeing the results of a running total in a second database, through a Relationship field, with the running total applying only to the related records.
Install both files in the zip file to your handheld, and then open "relate1" to see how the relationship field is set up. Open "relate2" to see how the calculated field is set up. The Relationship field in "relate1" shows the value of the calculated field in the last related record from "relate2".
Sometimes, you will need to force a recalculation for just the related records. One way to do this is to open the record you want to look at in "relate1". Then, use the Relationship button, to see the related records. To force a recalculation taking only the visible records into account, tap on the field name "calc", and use the option "set
value to". Then tap OK, and that will force a recalculation of the records taking only the related records into account.

The information in this database is entirely fictional, and intentionally invalid. The social security numbers are both too long to be real social security numbers, and should be invalid numbers even without the extra digits.
I created this database to remind me about due dates for memberships, subscriptions, passports, driver license, etc.
The database has an alarm that will remind you or me prior or on due date.

SHOPPER is a handy means to organize and calculate costs in real time while shopping. I have tried several other programs for these purposes but this one hits the mark for me. After using it and refining it over a couple years I decided to make it available to other Handbase users. The primary data in the download is Winco Foods data, I left it there so you can see the results and different views.
To change the Tax percentage used in calculations, choose DB Properties / Fields / Tax [Calculated] Field – Hit the “Configure†button and change the value 0.088 to reflect your states sales tax percent, ensure you don’t change parenthesis or function operators in the field or it won’t correctly calculate.

DEFAULT View – Just add or search for items and check the “GET†checkbox for whatever item you intend to buy, this is also where you choose the store, add a quantity for the item, identify if it is taxed. The current Tax calculation is based upon an 8.8% tax as used in Washington State for non-food items, so here if an item is taxable, the checkbox enables a tax to be applied to the item and Receipt S/Be totals.
GET View – Choose this view to filter items with GET checked so your focus as you shop is only on what remains on the predetermined list of items. Check and update the item price and quantity as you shop before checking the GOT checkbox. In the GET View, you simply check the GOT checkbox and it will disappear from the GET list, only items you have in your basket should be checked as GOT.
GOT View – If you forget to confirm a quantity or price and have checked the “GOT†box, this is where you would correct the entry prior to check out. Look at the last item total at any time and you can see what it will cost at the register for what you have in the cart, provided you have the correct price, quantity and tax checkbox checked if applicable. Looking at the “Receipt S/Be†field of the bottom item in the GOT view will be what you pay provided your items are correctly priced and the Tax Calculated field has the correct tax percentage for your state.
CLEAN UP View – This is a view used to uncheck the GET, GOT, QTY, and Price (if need be) so you can work toward the next trip. I always clear the price of an item as the prices change constantly, however without a quantity for an item, there is no consequence to the “Receipt S/Be†or tax fields for items containing a price.
TAX View – This simply hides all items that are not taxed so you can quickly see if an item you know should be taxed is not configured to be taxed. I checked 3 items that are taxed in Washington as GET / GOT, look at the data in Default View and you will see TAX applied to those items. Note that items Taxed checkbox can be checked but no tax is calculated until there is a check in the GET checkbox.
Sorting:
This databases Sort order is currently Product – Forward, if changed to a different field or Reverse, R-Total and RT TAX will appear different, simply because they calculate to sort order based upon the prior record, this has no bearing on the calculations, just the amount shown for running total fields when the sort order is changed.
Reports:
There are no reports or printing required, this is a use as you shop program you personalize and keep up to date for the stores you utilize.
Comments:
The Notes field is for item specific notes regarding individual items, brand, color, size, things of that nature. I use it when my wife knows a product she had added to a list, but her description of where I find it in the store sounds less than definitive.
The R/T Field is the Item Totals sum for every item selected as GET without Tax applied.
The Receipt S/Be Field is the R/T Field combined with Tax for all items with the GET CheckBox Checked (Provided the TAX checkbox is appropriately checked where applicable and the TAX amount reflects your states Tax Percentage.
For items sold by the pound or gallon etc., simply enter the appropriate amount by unit of measure into the QTY field. I.E. > I checked Bananas as a GET / GOT for 2.5 pounds, resulting in item total of $1.40.
I use a Sony Clie and use this database every time I shop, you can change the Aisle for items in your store and sort by isle for easy picking as you shop. Use of this database has made my trips to the store much more efficient and productive.

This is a basic To Do list of items to buy while at the store. I mainly use it at the Grocery/Food store but it can be used anywhere.
This Applet has a checkbox for indicating that you got the item. It also goes so far as to have a quantity and the price per item/qty and the Total for that Item as well as a Running Total.
The Checkbox, Item description, Qty, Price Each, and Running Total fields fit onto one screen in the List view so NO SCROLLING REQUIRED! The quantity field has popups for things like pound, 1 gallon, 1 dozen. The calculations work for the most part unless you get to 1.65 pounds of meat. Then just leave off the pounds part and you can double check the store.
I find it useful to enter the price and have the total because a LOT of stores have incorrect prices and some even give you the item Free if it rings up wrong. This way you know for sure especially with dozens of items.
Enjoy!

Winemaker EZ Blend applet has been renamed from Pearson Square Wine Blend Calculator and updated to include forms. Winemaker EZ Blend applet computes ratios and portions for blending juice and sugar prior to fermentation and amount of sugar required to increase sweetness of wine after secondary fermentation. Applet is based on the Pearson Square method for blending liquids and has been adapted primarily for amateur winemakers. It can be used to compute ratios required to adjust pH and acidity levels. Users of Winemaker EZ Blend should use the applet as a general guide to blending wine and syrup rather than an absolute final blend. The applet has been recently updated. Future applets are being developed for Winemaker E Z Conversion to convert Brix levels to and from SG (specific gravity) and computation of potential alcohol by volume. Winemaker EZ log is under development to document winemaking process by batch. Please provide feedback.
