Feel free to use the database as a template to add other coin types--but if you do, please share.

Keep track of all your hiking activities through out the years! All the parks you've visited. All trails you've hiked. You can see how many miles you've hiked on a single hike or all your hikes.
This version includes:
Parks - Keep a list of all the parks you've visited. You have information for contacting the park, open hours and directions of how to get there if you ever want to revisit a Park. Also contains the list of trails on the Trails applet.
Trails - Keeps information for each trail - distance difficulty, type (Loop, In and Out or Point-to-Point).
Hiking Journal - Log all your hiking activities - weather, elevation change, time spent on that hike, etc. The total mileage hiked that day will be automatically calculated when you enter the trails hiked on the next applet.
Trails Hiked - Logs all the trails you hiked that day. It calculates the total mileage you hiked and can also enter your personal difficulty level. When you hike this trail again, compare your rates to see if you still find that trail so difficult.
1. Parks
=============
a. Quick Guide:
----------------
Keeps a list of parks with hiking trails (Linked to the Trails applet). The total mileage of hiking available on the park; contact information; fees and permissions; activities available on that park, and more.
The idea is to create a Database with as many parks as possible. But, I'm still one guy that has to do other stuff to put dinner on the table. If anyone wants to send new Parks to be included on this DB, please send them to me (Marcelo Caldas) and I will make them available as files to be imported into this applet by Region or By State.
I still need to think this process thru, but Ideas are welcome!
b. Views:
----------
"Default View" - This view always contains all fields for debug purposes.
"Main View" - Main view with summary info about each park
"With Campsite" - Interested only on parks that have campsite available? use this view to filter them out. Also, use this view as a template if you want to search for parks with specific Activities - falls, canyons, etc.
c. Useful Sorts:
-----------------
By Activity, by Region, By State, By distance from your home.
d. Useful Filters:
-------------------
By Activity, By Region, by State, by mileages available in the park, in case you want to go for a quick 2 miles hike or a long 3 days 28 miles hike!
2. Trails
==========
a. Quick Guide:
----------------
This applet keeps a link of Trails attached or not to a specific park. It holds minimal information about each trail, like distance and type of the trail.
The types of trails are as follow:
Loop: These type of trails once you've hiked the entire trail you will end up on the same place that you started. The distance for this type of trail marks a full loop.
Point to Point: These type of trails, you start at point A and end on point B - The mileage marked on these trails are for one way only.
Tip: If you travel a point-to-point on both directions, enter two record on Trails hiked - one North -> South and the other South -> North for example.
In and out:This trail leads you to a dead-end. From that point on, you have to turn back and hike all the way out. The mileage marked on thse trails is for the full trip: from start to end to start again.
b. Views:
----------
"Default View" - This view always contains all fields for debug purposes.
"Main Vliew" - Main view with summary info about each trail
"By Park" - Trails that belong to a specific park.
"Hiked Trails" - Trails that you've already hiked - It shows the last date you hiked that trail if more than once.
c. Useful Sorts:
-----------------
By Park, By Difficulty, By Hiked On
d. Useful Filters:
-------------------
By Park, Difficulty, Length (looking for a short trail to hike?)
3. Hiking Journal
==========
a. Quick Guide:
----------------
This applet will hold all your hiking activities - elevation change, who you hiked with, what time you started and what time you finished. Enter all the notes you want to summarize your experience. It's always good to have notes of your hikes, so when you want to take a friend to that gorgeous waterfall that you don't exactly remember where it was.... Or if you want to know which parks have you backpacked and go back some day... maybe you want to try the autum or even winter if you not afraid of the cold!
This applet links to the Trails Hiked to hold information about all the trails you hiked that day. From that applet, the mileage will be calculated for you.
b. Views:
----------
"Default View" - This view always contains all fields for debug purposes.
"Main Vliew" - Main view with summary info about each trail
"Backpacking" - Hikes that you spent the night over - either on a tent or on a gorgeous Hike-Inn!
c. Useful Sorts:
-----------------
By Date, By rating, by miles.
d. Useful Filters:
-------------------
Date, Rating, miles.
4. Trails Hiked
==========
a. Quick Guide:
----------------
Keep track of all the trails you hiked. You can access this from either the Hiking Journal Applet or from the Trails applet. If you access it from Hiking Journal, you can see all trails hiked for that trip. Or, if you access it from the Trails applet, you can check how many times you've hiked that trail. Click on the Details button for the Hike or Trail to go to that record on the specific applet.

(1) This is a very large applet - be sure you have enough memory on your PDA. You can, of course, just use the desktop HanDbase program!
(2) Because of the size and structure, you will need to turn automatic calculations off on the handheld. Otherwise, this will run _very_ slowly, especially on older PDAs. I'd recommend making major changes on a fast desktop (initial data entry, major additions), and using the PDA version for lookups, deck construction, smaller updates to inventory, etc.
(3) To decrease size and improve performance, I'd also suggest entering your inventory and have/want information, then deleting everything else from the inventory file. Remember, do the processing on the desktop!
(4) The trial (limited) version has only a subset of data ... all cards with an 'e' in the name have been either modified or removed from various tables.
(5) My first shareware! PayPal me $5 so I can buy some cards, and I'll give you the complete version, which is up to date as of 7/1/04!

With Must C Movies you can enter titles that are coming to the theater or video on VHS and DVD. You can specify directors, actors and where you heard about it. You can even enter reviewere ratings and what level of interest you have in seeing.

Problem with Netflix: it sometimes forgets what episode you watched last. With a long series (X Files has 100 episodes) it can be hard to find your place again, so this at least keeps your place when Netflix forgets.
Delete my data plus some testing items & add your own. This has a form which makes the records easy to deal with.
Add a record for each TV series and this record is easily updated, and date added so you know when you last watched an episode. Netflix has its own numbering system which doesn't agree with the actual series Season / Episode numbers. Therefore I record all three items with a tap of the finger to update the number. You can also edit a box to start the record at any number record.
When done, a large yellow "SAVE" button gets you out of that record.

Erle Stanley Gardner's "Perry Mason" novels are entertaining. But with 86 novels, written between 1934 and 1973, it's easy to lose track of which ones you've read. This applet lists all of the novels in sequence, the year published, and a checkbox to mark the ones you've already read (or already own, if you're collecting them).

For the very good German board game Princes of Florence (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/555 ). This applet does a lot of the math for you, calculating work values based on the improvements/professionals in your hand. Be sure to set the preferences (under the Performance tab) to automatically recalculate when needed; otherwise, you will need to manually recalculate the Work Values when you update the Improvements table.

Comments:
I have different databases for different types of coins. All databases are essentially the same, just named different. I place each database in a coorsponding Category. For example, I have all Dollar databases under the Dollars Category. Used with categories, the design is very similar to another palm based database for coin collectors available on the Internet. Feel free to use the database as a template to add other coin types--but if you do, please share.
A simple applet no one has bothered to make yet. Maybe it'll help newbies get ideas for their own stuff.
This app' will let you name a show that you like to watch or hear, record the times and days that the show is on, as well as the channel and means of broadcast.
Has some built in pop-ups for quick url recording (sorry, no http://) likw www., .com, .edu. You have the ability to edit the popup menus to put the shows you want, so if you can enjoy the show from more than one type of broadcast you can list it as such in an easier fashion.

Patch database for guitarists/users of ZOOM 505 Mk II Multi effects pedal. I have updated this file with useful popup menus on some parameters.
Has Data:
Yes
Has Forms:
No
Filters:
Patch name, Tone/Style
Comments:
This program is primarily designed for guitarists/users of Zoom 505 Mk II multi effects pedal or it's (more popular) predecessor 505. Patch parameters can be saved into the database by direct entry. I have used the popup menu on some entries to double as a short explanatory menu for that effect.
Users can store their own favorite patches and those which are shared on the net by other Zoom 505 users.
I have enclosed a few online 505 sites. Drop me a line for any suggestions or feedback. If someone can send me this file with original ZOOM Mk II effects, that will be handy to share with others! Please have a go!
