Answer:
The gMail app delivers the file to our application in a HTML encoded form, not in a binary form. At this time, we believe this to be a bug and are looking for a workaround or a fix from Google for this.
In the interim, to save your PDB file attachment to HanDBase from gMail, try accessing your gMail account from the web browser. Attachments saved there are encoded and hence imported/synced properly to HanDBase.
