Description:Comprehensive list of ICD-9 codes, UPDATED for 2006. Originally adapted from the Family Practice Management ICD-9 Long List, with various additions and modifications over time. This has the advantage over the FPM text file that you can modify descriptions or add terms to help you search for a diagnosis. File is ~ 200K - designed to keep searches fast while including most of the codes primary care doctors use.
Has Data:Yes
Has Forms:No
Filters:Filter by ICD-9 Category or by Description to narrow a search. For example, to look for a fracture, use Filter by Cat. (ACCD) plus filter by description ('fracture'), then scroll down.
Sorting:Not recommended: takes too long. Filtering is actually faster and more efficient than using FIND.
