Description:An easy to use tab based general occupational health and safety risk assessment application for when you need to assess risks in your work. It walks you step by step through a general 5 step risk assessment with provision for multiple action notes to follow up. Use it to log your general H&S risk assessments and follow up actions. Where special risk assessment requirements are identified e.g. manual handling you will need to do further assessment work. I hope to offer other versions with provision for logging the more common assessments like hazardous substances, equipment, manual handling, height and so on. However the 5 step principles which this application follows can be applied whatever your local OSH regime is.

Any suggestions or comments are welcome. The zip file contains an illustrated overview as a read me file in pdf so you can check out how it works before you decide to install the application to your handheld. You can also see and hear an explanation of the similar earlier version as a podcast - download from iTunes (search steps2safety) or see it at http://web.mac.com/steps2safety/iWeb/Site/Podcast/Podcast.html. (Since Apple's last Quicktime update 7.1.6 Safari users might just get a question mark on the iWeb page cited - should be fixed at next update. Meanwhile go the iTunes route or use another browser or email me and I'll send you the podcast.) This version has been developed on a Palm TX. LATEST VERSION : 29 MAY 2007 -latest upload = s2sRiskAssessor070529.zip. Note though the application uses FORMS - you don't need anything more than HanDBase 3 to run it.
